Hey I just announced a CoD4 Showdown in our Yahoo Spotter group.  Here are the details:

I'd like to propose that since we are right on the heels of the new
CoD5 release, we all go ahead and get together at least one more time
for the biggest CoD4 bash that we could ever hope to have! Shocked

I realize that we all have the game on multiple systems. My brother,
Holback, and I will play the game together on the PC with other buddies
of ours who also have it on the PC.

As for the other systems, all I need is volunteers who want to organize
the event for their specific systems. According to our CoD4 poll, I
can see that we actually have 5 members who own the game on the PS3 (if
all of them are still with us).

Ice, you seem to be the most active member of that group. Would you
like me to send you their e-mail addresses so that you can give them an
invite? I can let you organize it if you like. What do you think?

Anyway, I need to discuss times with the rest of you guys. If any of
you CoD4 owners have an opinion on this, please let us know. Wink

Holback, since it is your server, do you want to organize it for the PC side of the house?   Grin  What I was thinking we could do is maybe do the longest round possible of Free-for-All.  And then follow it up with Team Deathmatch.  But if you have a better idea, I'm game for it.   Cool

Lil York...and Sky...we would love for you guys to join in too.   Smiley  WT, if you ever change your mind within the next few days, it would be a thrill to play along with you as well.   Wink

The big difference between the Yahoo group and this one is the fact that my group looks at a broader selection of action games on ALL platforms.  We had a similar thing going in our LMD group, but Holback and I really haven't discussed about setting up a console interest in this group.  I guess with my group out there, we probably don't need to.  But I can head up the PS3 section as I did before, if Holback wants me to.   Huh

Anyway!  Let's have a good turnout for the Call of Duty 4 Showdown.   Cool  Maybe we can use that time to recruit more members for Spotter Clan!   Smiley

Oh yea...I didn't mention the day here like I did in the other group.  I think Sunday would give people plenty of time to think about it.  We may need to schedule it closer to the evening to give people time to get ready for it.

Okay...let's shoot for this:

At 4:00 p.m., we will go ahead and meet on the Spotter CoD 4 server to play the first match at the longest time setting (no longer than 45 minutes to an hour though!!!).  And then we will go ahead with a second match of Team Deathmatch if we have enough people. 

We will invite anyone and everyone we know who has the game to join us.  And just so there is no confusion, Holback, can you please list the IP address of the server we will be playing on?  Some of us are not hooked into X-Fire and may need to know. 

Also, anyone wanting to join us on Teamspeak should feel free to do so.  I believe Holback has a TS message posted somewhere on this forum that will give us all of the details. 

Other than that, if anyone has any questions, now would be the time to ask...   Huh
